Caring for someone with learning disabilities

A carer is anyone, including children and adults who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support.

Caring for someone can be very rewarding but we know it can also be very challenging.

If you are a carer, please let your GP or health professional know and they will be able to refer you to our social prescribers.These are specially trained individuals that help get you started in being able to navigate all the services that may be available to you.

If you are a carer you may also be eligible to get a flu jab during the flu season.
